Privacy Policy
DTC Fitness, LLC
Effective date: October 9, 2026
This policy explains what information the DTC Fitness mobile app (the "App") collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the App and to dtcfitness.com.
The short version:
- We collect what the App needs to track your training: your account, your profile, your workouts, your body weight, and the photos you choose to add.
- We use a small number of service providers to run the App. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- You can delete your account in the App at any time.
1. Who we are
DTC Fitness, LLC ("DTC Fitness", "we", "us") is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. The App is not offered in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
| Category | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Account | Your email address. You sign in with a one-time code we email you; the App has no password. |
| Profile | Your display name, gender, date of birth, height, experience level, training goal, and profile photo if you add one. |
| Body measurements | Body-weight entries you log, with the date of each entry. |
| Workouts and training | The workouts you log (exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, rest times, effort ratings (RPE), and any notes you write), plus the templates and programs you create or follow, and your progress through them. |
| Photos and videos | Images or videos you choose to attach to your profile, workouts, or templates. The App only accesses the photos you pick; it does not scan your library. |
| Settings | Your units, rest-timer default, weekly goal, first day of the week, and notification preferences, including the day and hour you want reminders. |
| Messages to us | Anything you send to support@dtcfitness.com. |
2.2 Information collected automatically
| Category | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Device information | A random identifier the App creates on install, your device platform and model, operating-system version, App version, the time your device last connected, and whether you allowed notifications. |
| Push token | If you allow notifications, a push token that lets us deliver them to your device. |
| Usage information | Records of actions in the App (for example, that a workout was saved, a program was started, or settings were changed), linked to your account identifier. These records describe what happened, not the content: when you update your profile, we record which fields changed, not their new values. |
| Diagnostics | Crash and error reports, including the error, the steps leading to it, and the device and App information above. |
We configure our App analytics provider not to store your IP address.
2.3 Information from app stores
If you buy a subscription, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive the status of your subscription (which plan, when it renews or expires, whether there is a billing issue) and a transaction history, never your card or bank details.
2.4 Information we do not collect
The App does not collect your precise or approximate location, contacts, or data from Apple Health or Google Health Connect. The App does not use your camera or microphone. We do not collect your device's advertising identifier, show ads, or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
2.5 Our website
dtcfitness.com collects only the following:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, goal, and message. We use them to read and reply to your message, and we email you a confirmation that it was sent. The website does not store them; they are delivered to our inbox and kept as described for messages to us in §7.
- Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to record the pages you visit, how you arrived, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We use it only to understand how the site is used. You can block these cookies in your browser or install Google's opt-out add-on.
- Hosting. Our host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site.
3. How we use your information
| Purpose | Information used |
|---|---|
| Create and secure your account; sign you in | Account, device |
| Provide the App: log workouts, build templates and programs, show your history, records, and statistics | Profile, workouts, settings, photos |
| Personalise training suggestions and calculations | Profile, body measurements, workouts |
| Send the notifications you turn on: rest-timer alerts, streak reminders, monthly reports | Settings, push token, workouts |
| Manage subscriptions and unlock paid features | Purchase information |
| Understand how the App is used and fix problems | Usage information, diagnostics |
| Answer your requests | Messages to us, account |
| Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect our users | Any, as needed |
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Health and fitness information
Your body weight, height, gender, date of birth, and workout history can reveal information about your health. We treat this as sensitive information:
- We use it only to provide the App's features to you.
- We never use it for advertising, never sell it, and never share it with data brokers.
- You choose whether to enter it, and we collect it only to provide the features you ask for. You can delete the entries or your account at any time.
- The App is a training log. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Consumer health data (Washington, Nevada, Connecticut and similar laws). The categories of consumer health data we collect are those listed above; we collect them from you, use them only to provide the App, and share them only with the service providers in §5 that host and process them on our behalf. You have the rights described in §8 for this data, including to access it, delete it, and withdraw consent.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined in California law.
We share information only with service providers that process it on our behalf and under contract, for the purposes in §3:
| Provider | What they do | Information involved | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, sign-in, and file storage | Everything stored in your account | United States |
| PostHog | Product analytics and crash reporting | Usage information, diagnostics, account identifier | United States |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | Account identifier, purchase information | United States |
| Apple and Google | In-app purchases; push notification delivery | Purchase information; push token | Global |
| Expo | Relays push notifications to Apple and Google | Push token, notification content | United States |
| Resend | Sends emails: sign-in codes, and website contact messages and their confirmations | Email address; contact-form contents | United States |
| Website analytics | Website usage information, cookie identifiers | United States | |
| Vercel | Website hosting | Server logs, including IP addresses | United States |
We may also disclose information:
- When you ask us to. If you share a workout image to Instagram or save it to your photo library, the image goes where you send it. Instagram's use of it is governed by Meta's privacy policy.
- For legal reasons: to comply with a law, court order, or valid government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or DTC Fitness.
- In a business transfer: if DTC Fitness is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy's protections.
6. Where your information is stored
We are based in the United States, and our service providers store and process information in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed there.
7. How long we keep information
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Account, profile, body measurements, workouts, templates, programs, settings, photos and videos | Until you delete them or your account |
| After you request account deletion | 30 days, during which you can cancel by signing back in. Then your account and everything in it is permanently deleted, and we ask our analytics and subscription providers to delete their records about you. |
| Database backups | Deleted data leaves our backups within 7 days |
| Usage information and diagnostics | Up to 7 years, and deleted with your account |
| Purchase records | As long as Apple, Google, and tax and accounting law require |
| Messages to us | As long as needed to resolve your request, and then up to 2 years |
8. Your choices and rights
In the App, at any time, you can:
- See and correct your profile, body measurements, and workouts, and delete individual entries.
- Turn notifications on or off, by kind, under Profile → Notifications, or in your device settings.
- Stop usage analytics by turning off Share usage analytics under Profile → Privacy & security.
- Delete your account under Profile → Privacy & security → Delete account. If you no longer have the App installed, use the data deletion request form, or email support@dtcfitness.com from your account's email address, and we will delete it for you.
By law, depending on where you live, you may also have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it, including in a portable, machine-readable format;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@dtcfitness.com from the email address on your account. We will verify your request and respond within 30 days (or sooner where the law requires). You may use an authorised agent; we will ask them for proof of authorisation. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to the appeal within the time your law requires.
9. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (TLS), database access rules that let each account read and write only its own data, private storage for your photos and videos served through short-lived links, and encrypted storage of your sign-in session on your device. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
10. Children
The App is not directed to children, and you must be at least 13 to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@dtcfitness.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We will post any change here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will notify you in the App or by email before it takes effect.
